The Quartet of Questions: Basquiat Meets the Haggadah

The Wise Son stands tall, adorned with a crown of knowledge, his face marked by intense lines and symbols reminiscent of hieroglyphs – a testament to his quest for understanding. Adjacently, the Evil Son radiates a rebellious aura, depicted with sharp, chaotic strokes and intense colors, representing his challenging nature. The Innocent Son, painted with softer hues and a dreamy, childlike wonder, carries an aura of naivety and pure-hearted curiosity. And lastly, the Son Who Doesn't Know to Ask is rendered with an enigmatic air, his silhouette slightly blurred, encapsulating the mystery of unspoken questions.

Splashes of Hebrew letters, fragmented texts from the Haggadah, and Basquiat's signature motifs interweave throughout, binding the characters to their roots while juxtaposing ancient traditions with contemporary artistic rebellion.
